Dulais valley opening round of WSW championship
Sunday the 19th of January saw 84 athletes sign on for our 1st trial of 2025 at our Upper Gould farm venue in Crynant which incorporated rounds 1 of our WSW championship and our Welsh championship..
I’m going to start with the end today and get the thanks out there first.

The Dulais valley inner circle that produced what I thought was a first class dayout for everyone.
The trial
Iwan Davies will be chuffed to take the win in a small but experienced expert class. Ben Lovelace 2nd and Rhys Davies in 3rd.
Dan Bishop headed the Expert masters chased by me old mucker Lyn Davies. For those who loved (or hated) the Hugos hill climb section , Lyn is your man to see. He spotted the potential in this section that took 1111 marks by the end of day.
Clubman class was lead by the experience of Julian Collins followed closely by Neath mcs James Lamin.
Another golden oldie win for Eirian Davies in the Sportsman masters class with Nick Greenhill following and a gaggle of riders very closely behind.
Daniel Lewis won the popular sportsman class followed with Michael Manns taking runner up spot.
Euros Davies took the Vets with Rob Berry in 2nd.
Maybe the only disappontment of the day was the lack of youth sharing our sport but well done to the youngsters who did join us.
Our winners were Ashton Dugay youth expert B class. Zac Hazel Youth clubman, Mason Kyte Youth B clubman
An ending mention to a couple of guys who are just testing the trials waters having mastered previously other disciplines with wheels. Carl Tiley from enduro and Glen Phillips from MX and tarmac. Bloody good to see you smilng all day and we hope to see you again. I know you enjoyed.
